- NRIC/SAF/SPF ID and Passport
For Malaysians:
- IC and Singapore Residence Pass (e.g. Employment pass) if applicable
For Foreigners:
- Valid Passport and Singapore Residence Pass (e.g. Employment pass) if applicable
Note: Bring the originals of these Identification Documents (ID)
Inform our customer service officers to write "YIP" or "YIP-FRANK" at the top right-hand corner of the account opening form -
Provide us with the original or electronic copy of any of the following documents reflecting your name and address:
- Bank statement from a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) licensed bank
- Latest CPF statement
- Latest Notice of tax assessment from IRAS
Note: Document(s) must be dated no older than 3 months from date of application. If your mailing address is different from your residential address, please provide one document for each address.
For overseas application
Mail in the completed application forms with copies of:

Write "YIP" or "YIP-FRANK" on the top right-hand corner of your form
Optional Forms
- For trading in the US Market: W8BEN form
- For trading Specified Investment Products (SIPs): Customer Account Review (CAR) declaration
- For applicants age 20 and below: Appropriateness assessment questionnaire and risk disclosure statement

Eligibility requirements
Age limit
18 to 29 years old
Account required
New customers opening either a Basic Trading account, Share Financing account or Share Borrowing account with us for the first time.
Customers aged 18 - 20 can only open a Basic trading account and trade non-Specified Investment Products (SIPs) and initial deposit of S$1,000 is required to commence trading.
Join YIP by opening a Basic Trading account, Share Financing account or Share Borrowing account
You can only join YIP if you do not already have an account with us.
