How ShareInvest works
SHAREINVEST = EASICREDIT + SHARE FINANCING
ShareInvest combines the convenience of fast cash with EasiCredit and the gearing power of Share Financing, so that you can make the most of an investment opportunity. For example:
Monthly salary = S$2,500
Credit limit of EasiCredit = 2 x S$2,500 = S$5,000
Transfer S$5,000 from EasiCredit into your Share Financing account
Trading limit of Share Financing account = 3.5 times of S$5,000 = S$17,500
Therefore with a monthly salary of S$2,500, you will have S$17,500 for trading & investment!
Flexible cash, with interest charged only when you use it
When you trade using ShareInvest, the effective interest rates have 2 components:
OCBC EasiCredit: 17.8% p.a. or 0.049% per day
OCBC Securities Share Financing: 6.18% p.a. or 0.017% per day
The effective interest rate of ShareInvest works out to 9.50% p.a. or 0.026% per day.
