FX conversion cost is the cost incurred on top of your normal brokerage charges when you choose to settle your trades in a different currency other than the traded currency. The foreign exchange conversion cost is the spread levied on top of the FX spot rate for the day and is factored into your contract whenever there is a conversion of currency.

In times of low FX volatility, this repeated cross currency conversion cost during trading usually results in higher losses and lower profits for traders. For currency pairs that are more volatile, the spread levy on the FX spot rate can be even higher, which translates to a higher cost for conversion.

MCSF allows you to maintain minimal cross-currency exposure as it allows you to settle your trade in the traded currency and close out your position by receiving the proceeds in base currency without suffering any FX conversion cost.
